Default Newer Land Pavillion or Older Land Pavillion

before soarin & update

or after

this has been the pet peeve of mine since the update happened. I'm very much for the old land pavilion. why? well it felt like what a pavilion about agriculture would be . but the update that was brought on for the 50th celebration felt more like a fancy food court than a pavilion about agriculture. the land was hands down my favorite pavilion. Now, It just doesn't feel very "the land pavillion" like. I'm for taseful updates. the whole place is nice, it's true. but it just does not feel right.

Since it has been bothering me for ages, I wondered to myself what you peeps thought on the subject. are you for the old pavilion, or the newer one? and Explain

IMO the update was a good thing for that pavilion. For a while it looked like it was marching down the very same road that the Wonders of Life was on - irrelevancy leading to closure.

When an E-ticket like Soarin' was decided to be brought in to revitalize the pavilion, it's only natural that the pavilion would undergo a rather complete facelift with many guests entering the pavilion for Soarin' that otherwise wouldn't give 'The Land' the time of day. And to WDW of this decade, that means a facelift in the money-milking spirit of your local mall food court. Every sight line planned and every directional obstacle strategically placed to entice guests to spend more time & money than they may have intentionally planned on spending. Ever wonder why the only way to Soarin' from the entrance is a stairway that points you in the direction of a big food service establishment? Yup...

But even so, I figure it's better that than a complete demolition of the pavilion as was the fate of Horizons & World of Motion. At least 'The Land' still has something of its former identity left intact.

I don't mind the addition of Soarin' -however they should call it Soarin' Over California hosted by Richard Putty - but I wish they'd bring back the original music for Living with the Land. I also miss breakfast at the Garden Grill. The change in music and the loss of breakfast are the only reasons I voted for the old Land.
